From a Slack complaint to a shipped fix in one afternoon

A walkthrough of the full Agentis loop: a customer report in Slack becomes a tracked task, an agent run, a reviewed diff and a deployed fix.

It started the way these things always start: a customer pasted a screenshot into the support channel. Checkout was rejecting a valid postal code format. Normally this means a ticket, a triage meeting and a sprint slot two weeks out.

Step 1: Mention the bot, get a task

A support engineer mentioned the Agentis bot directly in the thread. The adapter pulled the thread history and the screenshot, matched the URL to the right project and created a task with full context attached — no copy-pasting, no manual ticket writing.

Step 2: The agent works, the team watches

The run started in a controlled environment with the project’s approved model. The live timeline showed every file read, every test run and the token spend in real time. Eleven minutes in, the agent asked one question: should the validation accept the legacy format too? One tap in Slack answered it.

Step 3: Review and ship

The result was a reviewable diff with passing tests, attached to the task as an artifact. The lead reviewed it on the task detail page, approved, and the fix shipped the same afternoon. Total model cost: $1.40 — visible on the task, not buried in a monthly invoice.

The customer got a reply with the fix link four hours after the complaint. The support team never left Slack.
